Challenge

Crowd light shows usually need dedicated hardware. The aim was to use the phones people already carry, so that each seat becomes a pixel in a synchronized show.

What we built

An organizer panel to design, draft, publish and simulate a choreography on the venue’s seating map, so the show can be previewed before anyone is in the hall. Attendees download the light timeline for their own seat before the show and play it from the start time, so the show runs even where the network is weak.

Outcome

Organizer sign-in, venue and event management, the choreography editor, simulation and publishing are done. Running the show on the attendee’s phone comes next.
